Measure with confidence.
Your cabinet is made exactly to your measurements, so those measurements have to be right. With these points you'll measure with confidence.
Measuring takes some care. Take your time, measure twice and follow the points below, and you'll be fine.
Checklist
In short
Measure the width at several heights and the height at several widths, walls and floors are rarely straight. Use the smallest measurement.
Not sure? Work with filler strips that you saw to size yourself afterwards, so the cabinet always fits neatly.
Always keep at least 5 cm from walls and ceiling. That gives you clearance plus room to fit a surround.
Measuring is precision work. We don't offer a measuring service; if in doubt, ask someone around you to measure along.
Why that clearance?
A cabinet made to the millimetre against wall and ceiling is almost impossible to place in practice, and leaves no room for a neat surround. That 5 cm margin is your friend: it absorbs crooked walls and makes the finishing possible.
Can't figure it out?
Better to measure once too often than too little. If you can't work it out together, feel free to drop by our showroom in Veenendaal and we'll think along with you before you order.
Please note: because every cabinet is made to measure, we can't exchange or adjust a wrongly measured cabinet. So take the measurements calmly and carefully.
