Maintenance

Our melamine-faced boards are wear-resistant and easy to keep clean. Regular care extends the life of your cabinet and keeps the surface looking good.

Cleaning

All you need is an all-purpose or glass cleaner, a microfibre cloth or soft sponge and lukewarm water.

1. Remove loose dust with a dry cloth or a soft brush.
2. Apply the cleaner with a damp cloth and let it work for no more than 5 minutes.
3. Clean flat surfaces in circular motions and textured boards along the direction of the texture.
4. Rinse with lukewarm water and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.

Tip: remove stains within 48 hours for the best result.

Avoid these products

These products damage the surface:

• Dish soap
• Scouring pads, steel wool and sandpaper
• Bleach, white spirit and benzine
• Solvents such as thinner or turpentine
• Pressure washers
• Caustic or abrasive products

Micro-scratches

Fine scratches from transport or friction can be buffed out with nothing but lukewarm water and a soft cloth. Rub along the direction of the texture and dry thoroughly.

Dust in the texture

On deep textures, dust can build up in the grain. Blow or brush the loose dust away, clean with lukewarm water and a soft cloth and dry afterwards. Repeat if needed.

Glue residue

Remove fresh glue right away with lukewarm water and a soft cloth. For cured glue, use a type DN plastics cleaner: let it work for no more than 5 minutes, rinse thoroughly and rub dry.

By surface texture

Always clean deep textures along the direction of the texture and never with paper towels. Clean flat and matt textures in circular motions.

Hinges & runners

Adjust hinges yearly if doors start to sag. The drawer runners are maintenance-free.
